Alainn Fion is Gaelic for 'beautiful wine' and pays homage to the Irish ancestry of our winemaker Matt O'Leary. Each year, small, but special, parcels of fruit are chosen. The emphasis being that the wines must be a great expression of both their variety and where they were grown.
The Chardonnay fruit has been chosen from a well-established vineyard in the Piccadilly Valley sub-region of the Adelaide Hills. This wine has been named in honour of Matt's father, Justin Bernard O'Leary, as a thank you to the joy he brought to others through his love of Irish music.
Pale straw in colour with complex aromas of poached lemons, white peach and almond meal. Delicate citrus flavours underly a wine with lovely texture while mouth watering acidity gives the wine great length and added complexity.
