Estate grown grapes for this wine were harvested from our 30-year-old Grenache vines planted on our Green’s Vineyard. The grapes were harvested at night to retain their natural acidity and freshness, then crushed to a fermenter where the juice stayed on skins for 24 hours before being run off into seasoned French oak hogsheads.
Showing pale pink hues, the lifted floral and strawberry aromas are complemented with spicy notes from the barrel fermentation. The palate, with its chalky tannins, has depth and concentration in the mid-palate, and the strawberry flavours that follow through give beautiful persistence. This is a great aperitif style drink or a wine that can be enjoyed with light dishes including salads.
