Hola Amigos! These Tortilla Chips are crafted in the same, traditional way they’ve been made in Mexico for generations.
First, the Whole Kernel GMO-Free White Corn is soaked in limewater, then wet-ground into a Masa (dough) using Mexican Volcanic Stones. This process is called nixtamalisation and is the truly authentic way to make corn tortillas and tortilla chips. The Masa is pressed into round tortillas and cut into traditional triangles. The Triangles are then hand-cooked in small batches by our ‘Proper Chefs’ in Nelson.
